PV Zwischenupdate - der erste 200er des jahres. Über 200 kWh am Tag sind doch recht ordentlich!

Eine derartig hohe Produktion ist natürlich nur mit den langen Tagen um diese Jahreszeit mögich. Etwa von Mitte Mai bis Mitte Juli können erfahrungsgemäß Tage mit über 200 kWh Stromproduktion vorkommen. Die recht vielen Wolken in letzter Zeit haben dafür gesorgt, dass wir heuer relativ spät dran sind. Knapp war es schon mehrmals, aber heute endlich wirklich.

Das sind 2x 15 kWp Anlagen, eine schaut nach Südosten, die andere nach Südwesten. insgesamt ist ihre Produktion praktisch identisch, aber immer um ein paar Stunden verschoben - eben dem Lauf der Sonne folgend wie auf dem Diagramm zu sehen ist.

So, seit dem Wochenende läuft die #Balkonsolaranlage mit Speicher. Alles zusammen hab ich mit #openhab verbinden können.
Bisher alles top. Nun muss ich openhab nur noch beibringen die Ausgangsleistung vom Speicher an den vom Smartmeter gemessenen verbrauch anzupassen, damit ich speichern kann, was ich gerade nicht brauche.

This is what happens. You get a new/faster Raspberry Pi for a project and the question about what to do with the old stuff becomes an even bigger one. You all know that - right? RIGHT???

Well, this Raspi 3 now acts as a dashboard with info screen, automation controller and also as a streaming radio player. But oh boy, Firefox or Chromium are so slow on this device that i had to write my own UI to make it even usable. Python, Flask and Javascript to the rescue...

Two things are now missing. A faster browser and, more importantly. We need a name for this kind of hand-things-down activity. Ideas anyone?

Ich verstehe nicht, was an #HomeAssistant "einsteigerfreundlich" sein soll. 🙄 ...

Ich habe (vorerst) nur einen Reed-Kontakt am Gas-Zähler und einen Ultraschallsensor (JSN-SR04T) in der Regenwasser-Zisterne.

Beide kann ich problemlos mit #Arduino (und C++) und auch mit den #Raspi-GPIOs (und Python) auslesen.

Es macht mich wahnsinnig.
Der RasPi 4 läuft ziemlich warm und die Einrichtung (via #MQTT) ist alles andere als intuitiv. GPIOs direkt auslesen will es natürlich auch nicht. ...
Am liebsten soll ich mir wohl einen #ESP32 oder #ESP8266 ins WLAN hängen, aber die können keine 5V für den Ultraschallsensor. ...

Und wofür will HA Internet und dubiose "Assistenten", die mir Alexa und KI schmackhaft machen wollen. 🤮

Ich gehe jetzt mal 'ne runde löten zum Entspannen, und wenn mir nichts besseres einfällt, dann kommt #OpenHAB auf den RasPi. ...

@peachfiend I have used both, including a parallel run for a while.
I'm not going to write a comparison article, but generally find #HomeAssistant has a larger community and a better GUI.

The days of editing YAML in HA are gone, but then again, the Java-like #openHAB scripting language has also moved on with several options.

Got the full voice activation working in #openhab we are talking the use of a wake word, Speech to Text and Text to Speech as well as a basic speech interpreter.

I should probably write a blog post on this, it was quite a few bits and pieces.

I am switching from Home assistant to OpenHab.
I like the setup, automations. Modeling my equipment in rooms, floors is super handy
The gui is also nice and easy, graphs are not setup but the examples look nice.
The export of data to MySQL or any other persistent database is simple and integrated

What a respectable amount of plugins
It is a bit new and fiddling withall the new ways it gets configured but intuitive

So any tips or links to how-to guides and best practices?

With the power of openHAB and Zigbee2MQTT I programmed an IKEA STYRBAR to
- change the brightness and color temperature of all living room lights or change the volume of the Echo if the TV is off
- act as play/pause/forward/rewind/volume remote and control the dynamic lights depending of the play/pause status of the Fire TV/cable receiver/bluray player if the TV is on

PV-Anlage 10.8 kWp, 15 kWh Speicher, EFH. An so sonnigen Tagen wie diesen geht schon im März Strom nur noch Richtung Grid (sofern man es organisiert, dass grössere Verbraucher wie Waschmaschine, Trockner, Geschirrspüler und Co. vorrangig tagsüber eingeschaltet werden, geht oft einfach über Timer).

To-Do: automatisches Heizen mit der Klimaanlage, sobald der Akku tagsüber wieder voll ist und Strom zum Grid wandert.

@danielkassner nachdem jetzt sehr oft homeassistant genannt wurde, will ich auch noch openHab ins Spiel bringen. Die Lernkurve ist etwas steiler, aber das System ist etwas "nicht-kommerzieller" aufgebaut als Homeassistant.
Gut unterstützt und halbjährliche werden große Updates geliefert. Entwicklung passiert so wie ich es wahrnehme v.a. in Deutschland.

So, I've started playing with #openHAB today.

Compared to Home Assistant, it appears to actually work when installed via docker. Big up side there.

But it also appears to need *much* more configuration to do anything.

I believe I've got ownTracks sending it my location.

I have no idea how to even view that data. Apparently even that requires writing code.

That isn't a show stopper, but it is surprising.
