If District 4 Supervisor Joel Engardio is recalled, can I vote on his replacement?

No, voters do not choose the replacement for Supervisor Engardio if he is recalled. Mayor Daniel Lurie will appoint a replacement who will serve until the next scheduled election in June 2026.Then, District 4 residents will have to vote for Supervisor two times in 2026: First in June to fill the remainder of the current term, then again in November to fill the next full term that begins January 2027.

Answering questions about the Special Recall Election - Can I vote in the special recall election for District 4 Supervisor Joel Engardio?

To vote in the recall election, you need to be a District 4 resident and register to vote. Supervisor District 4 includes the neighborhoods of Central and Outer Sunset, Parkside, parts of Lakeshore, and some of Golden Gate Park. Register by September 2, and a ballot will be mailed to you. After September 2, you can still register and vote, but only in person.

Got to visit the elementary school my kids went to today! It was really fun to see the old stomping grounds! Their first grade teacher is still there, and he literally looks exactly the same. Like he hasn't aged a day. He must be a wizard. I even got to see some old friends. No pics of the bikeride but rest assured, it was a sweet and swift ride both ways. 😎

Stopped at Swell on the way back, btw it's their 10th anniversary party on Sunday!

@eniatitova We do a lot of take out from EBX and Shin Toe Bul Yi (both on Taraval) and Noriega Teriyaki. Guerra's is our goto for sandwiches. Our favorite eat-in places are Sunset Reservoir Brewing (Noriega), Tazaki Sushi (Judah) and Pizza Place on Noriega. And for special occasions Spiazzo on West Portal. For coffee we like Diamond Coffee and Pastry on Judah. Ok, actually we go there as much for the pastries as for the coffee. :)
