The news is upsetting for me nowadays and I think that Edvard Munch would understand.
The way he does the carving is awesome, I'm imagining him using a sharpened piece of obsidian that he made in a cave somewhere. Or using the same knife that he used to kill his brother in self-defense. 😁 Seems like there's a dark passion about what he does? I'm sure it's been examined and it's interesting. I'll find a book.

Rückschau: Ganz viel Liebe und Dankbarkeit für das was wir haben und erleben durften. Da ist auch Stolz. Wir sind gewachsen und mussten es auch.
Blick nach vorn: Sorgen. Wohin dreht sich die Welt in 15 Jahren und welche Skills braucht es für diese? Aber es gibt auch ein Grundvertrauen. Wir können was und wir schaffen was.

So, I'm not sure how I feel about this, but I did love the irony (or perhaps it's pathos, I'm uncertain)
I checked the price difference between Amazon, and Kobo for my new reader, same on both sites.
Delivery time tho was different:
Amazon - same day

I am #NowWatching The Kid with a Bike (Le Gamin au vélo) (2011) for the #FirstTime. I love the #DardenneBrothers, and already within the first 10 or 15 minutes of this film I'm exclaiming to myself "amazing".
I love how they bring out so much #humanity and #pathos with such #simplicity. It's a real #art.
I think if I ever made films, I'd want them to be like the Dardenne's.

This advertisement generally communicates to all persons without any exceptions in age, gender or status. Though not everyone is involved in the selling and buying of animals, it is very essential for the advertisement to educate and raise awareness of the issue in society. Additionally, animals are very common among humans and because we all interact with them at almost a daily basis, it is important for the advertisement to reach out to everyone. Notably, the persuasive appeal exerted by the written message on the advertisement specifically communicates to people who sell animals for commercial purposes and it ought raise some empathy in the call for change.
What is the dominant persuasive appeal in the advertisement? Explain
The dominant persuasive appeal in the advertisement is Pathos. The picture and message used primarily aim at making the audience feel more sympathetic and caring. Because people still have a close connection to these animals depsite their commercialisation efforts, it is possible to reduce the problem through appealate solutions.
Is there a secondary persuasive appeal? Explain Do you think the persuasion is effective? Why/why not?
The secondary persuasive appeal used in the advertisement is logos. The message transmitted by use of bold fonts and large symbols aims at building up the audiences logical reasoning. Generally, the message is meant to show people that humans as living things and our neighbors deserve better treatment. Notably, the secondary persuasive appeal has been very effective because it well combines with the primary appeal to deliver the intended message across the entire audience. The convincing power of the advertisement is also increases because of the use of two persuasive appeals.

லோகுவின் மனைவி எப்போதும் வேலை செய்து கொண்டே இருப்பாள். அவர்கள் வீட்டில் எல்லாரும் அப்படிதான். லோகுவின் இயல்புக்கு மாறானவர்கள். வேலை செய்யாமல் இருந்தால் மனசாட்சி ரொம்ப உறுத்தும். எனவே அவள் உடல்நிலை சரியில்லாத போதும் முனகிக் கொண்டே மெல்ல இங்கும் அங்கும் போய் வந்து கொண்டு எதையாவது செய்தபடி இருப்பதை பார்த்து லோகு, “இவள் இப்படி செய்வது ஒற்றைக் காலில் நடமாடும் காகம் போலிருக்கிறது,” என்று நினைத்துக் கொள்வான். அதில் ஒரு ரொமாண்டிசிசம் இருக்கத்தானே செய்கிறது. மற்ற காகங்களுக்கு இணையாக தத்தித் திரியும் ஒற்றைக் கால் காகத்தை அவன் எங்கோ பார்த்திருக்க வேண்டும்.
