Das #SAP an der #UniBonn ist so eine harte Arbeitsbeschaffungsmaßnahme. Wie viele STUNDEN da im Nichts versinken. Es ist LANGSAM, ständig beknackte Fehlermeldungen, 28x das gleiche eingeben, Anstatt, dass er selber offensichtliche Dinge ausfüllt, ewig auf Dialoge warten... 😠
Bin ich froh, dass man als Wissenschaftler an der @unituebingen noch vernünftig Reisekostenabrechnung machen kann (Drucken, ordentlich zusammentragen, beschreiben, EIN kleines Formular ausfüllen, abgeben)

A pragmatic method for picking PhD research projects
The checklist is meant for picking research projects that take 3-6 months, and have a reasonable chance of succeeding and getting published.
If you do one such project every 6 months, you can do 7 full research projects in 3.5 years and then still have take 6 months to finish up your thesis and find your next job.

Weekly lab report.
Progress continues wirh resolving rhe Pockels Cell driver issue. Parts have been ordered once more.
Using the old laser, we wete unable to get the strong argon signal we had got before. A short was found in the deflection plate, which means we will have to break down the apparatus. This is a part of the equipment I have not seen yet.
My paper went ahead in leaps and bounds earlier in the week.
I did get to sit in on a couple of hours of 3MT talks. It was great to see what a number of other PhD candidates were up to.

Now using digital notes for restructuring my Introduction. I started at a whiteboard, went to A3 paper and mind mapping (about three on the same topic) and now to this with digital post it notes, this way, I can work with my supervisor on content before I delve back into writing again. #PhDLife #goodNotes
