Having a Phone with a half decent camera again has me taking pictures all the time.

Redmi note 14 pro+ 5G

taken with the 2 MP Macro Lense. I really wish they'd put a higher res macro lense Intro this thing, but i think this is a pretty decent use of what it has.

Whats the name of this beetle anyway?

Overall, the $499 Google Pixel 9a offers better portraits, macro shots, and low-light imaging capabilities than the $599 iPhone 16e.

One of my usual shots during my #10BlackAndWhiteDays is #raindrops and since this is a new #PhoneCamera and it was #raining, decided to give it a try... usual pro settings with speed adjustment and some 'settings' for the #HighContrast #BlackAndWhitePhoto (including flipping it) alongside the original shot for comparison.
Not a macro shot.

the world in a large raindrop, as other smaller raindrops are around the main one in the center, displayed in black and whiteDescription in the previous image, but this is the original colour image, unflipped, so the world in the drop of water is upside-down (because that's how light works seen through a drop of water).

Been using the #SamsungA16 for over a month now (nothing wrong with the J7Prime I was using for nine years before) and still trying to calibrate the #ProSettings for the #PhoneCamera... at least for #Daylight ... prepping #dinner for the next 4 nights, #tomatoes and oranges to be added later on top of the shredded #lettuce, grated #carrots and diced #cucumbers

Shredded Lettuce, grated carots, diced cucumbers being sorted into a bowl and containers with tomatoes to be diced and a quartered orange to be added later. Dinner prep for the next few days.

#belize #phonecamera #beach.

"Flotsam refers to goods that float on the water after a shipwreck or accident, while jetsam consists of items that are intentionally thrown overboard to lighten a ship in distress. The key difference lies in whether the items were discarded deliberately or ended up in the water accidentally."

I don't think this is either, I just like the excuse to look that up.

Here another example. That hole is freaking huge. You'd never be able to tell from this picture. I tried repeatedly to capture the size and couldn't.

I get so frustrated with my outdoor photography. I just can't capture what I see. Mostly, perspective problems.

Like here for instance. The shot I saw with my eyes was amazing. A beautiful round pond with duckweed on it.

The camera captures a huge amount of foreground and flattens out the roundness and you get this much less impressive image.
