Tried the older 1.23 version of the #Pi1541 and my Evesham Freeze Machine disks that I copied over to it now work as well as they do on a real drive or in VICE. Cool.

Oddly my copied games wont load back from the SD card in either Kung Fu Flash or the Pi1541 but work perfectly under VICE...

My personal BASIC stuff is more important as that is unique and I can't get that from anywhere but my own disks...

What fun! I'm copying old 5.25" floppies to D64 images using my cold #C64 and a #Pi1541. Once I have them as D64 images I can use a #KungFuFlash card to load them super quick or into #vice

Now I've got my #RaspberryPi and #pi1541 working I've been copying my old #BASIC programs from 5.25" floppies to SD cards so I don't lose them.

Some are in #Commodore V2 BASIC which is pretty rubbish and some are in Basic Lightening which is a lot better.

I've also played some games... #Boulderdash

Making progress with my #rapsberrypi #pi1541. The file browser works properly when you have the right disk image installed on the SD card.

Problems remaining are no HDMI output from the Pi3B and any attempt to copy a real disk to a virtual one generates gibberish in the virtual disk image.

I've a plan for the HDMI and for the disk copy I'll try a later version of Maverick to copy my disks...

My #RaspberryPi #pi1541 works better when you give the CBM ROMS the right file names...

Much #retrocomputing and #retrogaming here I come.

On a more serious note I can back my own old #BASIC programs up before the disks die on me...

I believe that #pi1541 is the worst way to spend money on #c64. It's just fine for recreating real floppies using it with a real 1541. Compatibility much lower than #sd2iec for my experience

Capito che il #pi1541 non è stata quella cosa davvero miracolosa per il #c64....ho riportato il mio #raspberrypi alla funzione di base...console universale.

Mi serve un arcade stick, il pad del NGC (fasullo perché only usb e solo per pc) consumatissimo e riparatissimo oltre ogni modo non è più performante 😀

Until now I do not own any storage system whatsoever for my Commodore C64 breadbin.

I am looking into several solutions like the SD2IEC (several) combined with a Final Cartridge III+ cartridge or an EPYX FASTLOAD cartridge.

The perfect yet pricy (for me) solution would be the Ultimate 1541 II-L cartridge.

Another one could be the Pi1541 but I haven't yet found any offer that can sell me the complete thing with the case ...

No, su #C16 non c'e' modo di caricare i 40 tracce d64 con il #pi1541.
Molta delusione, un vero peccato, niente Alpharay o Pets Rescue se non in versione #sd2iec version.
Non e' stato quel miracolo che pensavo, magari fra qualche firmware spero migliori.
Faccio una donazione al progetto lo stesso, alla fine e' gente con passione e meglio un progetto in piu in sviluppo che uno in meno.
