Hier übrigens das Mainboard in der Komplettansicht und nach der Reinigung. Reinigen hat ziemlich gedauert - da kamen wohl mal irgendwie ein paar Tropfen Wasser rein und auf dem Board ist mittig ein Pilz gewachsen. 😅 (also so ein Geflecht, kein aufrecht stehender...)

Ok, das scheint tatsächlich ab Werk bei den internationalen Geräten so gewesen zu sein und meine Annahme bzgl. deutscher Umlaute war korrekt.

Gab's das so ab Werk, oder wurde da mal das ROM gegen ein EPROM getauscht und das ist nur ein einfacher (?) Adapter?

Das Label sieht definitiv nicht nach DIY aus und wirkt auch so, als wäre es Jahrzehnte alt.

@traxo For SID I recommend the ARMSid or FPGASid. The latter is better, but twice as expensive and it is not that much better it would justify the price difference.

SIDs are dying now. Back in the days they didn't have the technology to make analog-digital ICs as reliable and now it's the end of their lifetime. I removed the original SIDs and some other ICs I could find replacements for from systems I am actually using. Some day there will be no more working original left and this we should avoid or at least delay.

I got the two #ARMSID ’s, it took a few days to make them work in my circuit as they require the phi2 1MHz clock that was not needed for the #SwinSID, so I had tho see how to generate it with the STM32. My gosh, the sound quality is amazing 🤩 No more aliasing in the filters and deep and convincing basses.
