Es algo así como un alien feo adolescente que tiene que demostrar que es mucho macho a su familia disfuncional de más machos que se matan entre ellos por su testosterona galáctica

Obejrzałem „Predator: Badlands”. Chyba jeszcze gorsze (a to jest naprawdę wyczyn!) niż „Alien: Earth”. Dżizaskrajs… Z góry przepraszam, jeśli obrażam czyjeś uczucia religijne. Zwalmy to na karb tego, że jestem już dziadersem. Jak ktoś jest wychowany na krwawych i budzących grozę pierwowzorach, to te ciapowato-familijne popłuczny są nie do strawienia 😉

Ist es nur Liebe für den Klassiker von 1987, die Daniel beim Zuspruch für #PredatorBadlands im Wege steht? Mitnichten, stellt er in diesem #Podcast auf Basis seiner vorherigen Golem-#Rezension mit einer ganzen Reihe weiterer Kritikpunkte klar.

Am schwersten wiegt dabei wohl sein Vorwurf, dieser #Film wäre mit einem Na’vi auf Pandora wohl kaum anders abgelaufen. Was aus #Predator inzwischen geworden ist, wirkt wie austauschbares CGI-Kino von heute.

I watched a movie double bill at my local #AMC today.

The 1st of the 2 was #PredatorBadlands, which I think was a decent 5th (or 7th depending on how you count them) addition to the #Predator movie franchise.

The Pedator in the movie is named Dek. He is a "runt" who has a Napoleon complex as well as "daddy" issues. His father kills his brother who is trying to protect him & he travels to a planet, where everything has evolved to kill everything else, in order to find a super monster named Kalish in order to prove himself worthy of being recognized as a "man" by his father & his clan.

His relationship with Thia an initially legless android who helps him navigate the planet & its dangers allows for some dialog & helps to provide a means to empathize with Dek.

There's a lot of great CGI, a excellent sound track, some nods to films like Star Wars, ET & Aliens plus some new & innovative ideas presented in the film.

I'd give it a 7 out of 10 & will buy the DVD if/when one is issued for it.
