Played #rangersOfShadowDeep with my mates last night.

We had a barrel o' laughs, and we cut through the final showdown of the #BurningLight mission so fast and efficiently that we need ways to make the game harder at our levels.

Also, my companion #BorisJohnson (by @FenrisGames ) needed work on account of losing ¼ of his move, which I quickly painted between jobs. He was useless, as usual.

Six Rangers and companions.

Leading the front is a guy with a black and yellow outfit carrying a sack over his back, named Coward the Lockfucker. Long story and it's all down on me. Then there's a wizard with a blue magical ball in his hand and behind that a knight with a hammer, and to the rear is a dude with a cowl, a dagger, a backpack and a torch. In the centre there is barely visible the cockerel called Cheep, who's supposed to be a songbird but we didn't have a proper model. Centre front is a wheelchair with post-apocalyptic Boris Johnson in it. Oh yeah. Best conversion ever. He used to be on PIP but they took it away

At level 9-10, we've probably outgrown the difficulty level of the game, as we've been nigh untouchable. Doesn't mean we didn't have fun - there was one incident where I raced someone else to open a locked cupboard and we both whiffed it, and a third person ran in and did it with us looking on😆 Very silly and lots of fun. See cat.

My mook companion Boris Johnson didn't get killed for once. Probably because he's got -1.5 inches move and never got anywhere. Might have to convert him to being a wheelchair user. Because he's Boris Johnson and will abuse any privilege he can, the blustery bastard.

Wargaming measuring tool - simple ruler which measures 7 inches across one side, 4 across the other and is 2 wide. It is accurate to a quarter inch.

In een flash of brilliance I decided to not just ink the recessed scale lines, but also put Magenta Fluo paint in them, and then of course I could not NOT paint the numbers yellow

Busy days with king's day, teaching exam training and the kids needing to be ferried left and right.

- painted scenery and baddies for #RangersOfShadowDeep. Even though the models will only be used in one scenario each and will probably be dispatched in 2 turns, I've put way too much effort in - bringing my blacklight to the game 😂

Played two higher level scenarios of #RangersOfShadowDeep with some mates. It was hilarious but boy the baddies' dice were on FIRE. The second scenario did not leave a single companion standing, and two of five rangers went down!

Edit: also, my mook Boris J got his leg busted, so with missing toes and a bad leg, he's now down 1½" of his original 6" movement. If you have a medieval wheelchair STL, HMU

Second my ancient #BattleMasters ogre for #RangersOfShadowDeep. He's hideous and has five knuckles on his left fist. But he's fun.

An overdue Xmas present came in today - a neoprene gaming mat with a grass texture on it - and it happens to go really well with the other stuff I put together.

Haven’t started a game yet but getting really close!

Two islands made of sculptamold, wine cork, cardboard and foam board. They look rather lush and natural although not very level. It all looks Incredibly mossy and rough, but it's grassy in patches. There are some larger tufts of grass and some small blue and white flower tufts here and there.

Same Islands but now zoomed in on the larger of the two which has a chaos warrior stood on top. With some equipment he could pitch a little tent here, build himself a small campfire provided he could get wood, and probably fish for subsistance

Excellent Rangers of Shadow Deep vibe.

Worked on some #terrain for #RangersOfShadowDeep.

I'm a bit mad that I reprinted the apothecary's table, and chose the wrong work top for it because the one on the misprint is a lot better. Serves me for being hasty. Other than that happy that the other misprints have been easily fixed by slathering on scandalous amounts of basing paste.

Fiddled around with the school 3d printers some more to print a plastic rack for a neater hobby space. And print more #plasticrack lol. The first is stackable, the second goes on the stack.

Seems as if reducing build plate temp by 5° made a big difference in warping, with barely any now compared to... Well, fkn mess.

Rubble pile (cork and city wall stones) with some broken chairs (3d printed) strewn over it.

There's a funny story to this. When my Rangers of shadow deep mates and I decided which scenario to do, I volunteered on working on some of the things on the list of scenery and materials we needed.

I enthusiastically built a 4 inch diameter rubble pile. Turned out it was supposed to be a rubbish pile with books, vestments, monastery furniture.

So yeah, that's what I did, rubble with rubbish on top.

Played #RangersOfShadowDeep with 3 colleagues, which was fun but a bit easy because we're playing the game bent (I had my Boris Johnson sidekick lure a troll across the table while others shot at it, for example). All in all a fun sesh.

Today I discovered that if you put the grater to cork trivet sides you get good cheap basing material.
