Anyone powering a #Raspi5 via 12 V or USB QC/PD/Y-Splitter cable or anything else than 110 V/240 V?
Original Power supply 🇪🇺 is 240 V -> 5.1 V @ 5 A (25.5 Watts) - yes I have one.
However, I would like to power the Raspi via a power station in order to use it with my telescope (#astrophotography), either with 12 V (like the mounts) or via USB (where the camera and other devices are powered).
Using the 240 V AC port on power stations drains the battery (much) faster, therefore I don't want to use it - unless it is really really necessary. 🙄
The USB ports on my power station deliver 3.1 A, which is not enough. Can a USB Y-splitter cable help by connecting two of the 3 A USB ports to one to get ~5 amps?
Or is there a power supply 12 V -> USB 4-5 A available?
Using a 12 V Power supply with two 3.1 A USB ports and a Y-splitter cable seems not to work. 🤨
(I don't know if 3.1 A can be delivered on both ports at the same time).
