A quick trip into the city of Bristol confirms my assertion that it's always sunny in the West Country. It was amazingly warm for a January day.

Whilst I do love living in the West Country I due get jealous when we miss out on the snowy weather.
Sometimes you have to wonder.
Just been onto the local shop and a Turkish man working there ,who I've never met before, wishes me Happy Christmas. Then proceeds to tell me (in a hushed conspiratorial tone) that there are too many Black and Pakistani people in England and that you don't get that in Turkey.
*Sigh*
During the last lot of Dr's strikes the local tv news reporter camped outside the Bristol Royal Infirmary to grab interviews with disgruntled patients. Asking one eldery lady if she was angry that her operation had been cancelled she replied
'yes, but I'd rather die than cross a picket line'

It's miserable and rainy and I have to go out and buy a new measuring jug. I knocked mine onto the kitchen floor last night and it shattered. It's one of the few kitchen items I use pretty much every day.
The only weather warnings we get in the West Country is that it will be yet another beautiful day.
Up early. Borrowing a car and heading out to Cribbs. Hopefully will get all the Xmas presents bought before noon🤞

Been chucking it down all day in the West Country. Here's a photo I took in my back garden.
Turbo Island is a very unique part of Bristol and, hopefully, will be protected against gentrification and development.
