Started today's long run with a slightly different 8km out, then and a familiar 13.1km home.
I went off too quickly, slowed on the trails, then took a tumble at 15, before a turtle-esque trundle home.
This is the 3rd time I've run 21.1km, it's also the slowest it's taken me - However; this is my 1st barefoot shoe half, and it has laid down a challenge for me to better for next time..

Trying something a bit different this week, instead of running Mon,Wed, Fri...I'm doing Mon, Tues, Friday.
So after yesterday's long run, this morning was a short, quite speedy (for me at least) recovery type run...oh yes, and flat. (barely any elevation, or gain) I did photograph the hill I normally run up
Now a couple of days rest, ahead of long run Friday. Not worked a route out yet, still time.

Thought I'd start the week with a long run.
Same route as Friday, but instead of the left side trails, I went along the right
The sea was very clear this morning, even the silver sand on the sea floor was visible from my vantage point.
I want to make this loop an extra 3.1km, but it needs to be scenic, and not just adding in extra distance for the sake of it.
Maps out later I think.
So langsam muss ich wieder intensiver trainieren für den #Halbmarathon in 2 Monaten. Mein Ziel ist es durchzuhalten und durchzukommen. Im besten Fall wünsche ich mir eine Zeit zwischen 2h 30s - 2h 40s.
Eventuell wollte ich die Strecke im Mai schonmal entlanglaufen da diese wohl viel Anstieg beinhaltet. 🫠

I joined a running group at the track today and I may as well have been part of a walking group next to them.
I still got 4 miles in but I find the running clubs near me don’t have any casual runners. Just about everyone is intense and going minimum of 6-8 miles on easy days and training for 30-50 milers.
I miss my old running club that had a slower pace and I was actually one of the faster people. Well, at least I’m getting out there and trying to meet people.
Why is it so hard to make friends when you’re older?
