@KimPerales

And Canadians are selling all their properties, cancelling long vacations, cancelling resort's entire seasons.

Arizina's market is "correcting" too. Canadians aren't returning.

They aren't coming back.

#Snowbird

Avalanche IV

Avalanche IV is actually the fifth and last in a series of images that I captured skiing at Snowbird in Utah.
Taken from the top of Snowbird I captured this sequence starting from the cornice blast to this concluding image.
This final image is one of my favorites from this sequence as it shows some scale to the whole event.
Here the avalanche is starting to settle.

Avalanche IV

This is the last image in a series of 4 captured at the Snowbird Ski Resort near Salt Lake City.
The image shows an avalanche starting to slow and settle into a bowl area at the ski resort.
In the bottom corner of the image is a groomed ski run that passes on the left of some taller pine trees. The bowl is more like a funnel with steep cliffs on 3 sides of the image. The trees in the lower right hand corner shows a sense of size and scale to the avalanche.

Avalanche III

Avalanche III is now the fourth in the series of captures caught while skiing at Snowbird out in Utah in the Rocky Mountains.
Starting with the Cornice Blast where the ski patrol set off roughly 30 charges to blow a dangerous cornice from the ridge over looking the ski resort.
Avalanche III shows the snow coming off a cliff and fanning out in the bowl below the cliff.

This is actually the fourth image in a series captured at Snowbird Ski Resort outside of Salt Lake City.
This image show where the lead elements of the avalanche come off of a cliff, landing in a bowl area below the cliffs.
In the lower left is a ridge line forming the left side of the bowl.

Avalanche I

One of my passions that I have had since I was a young boy has been skiing. I learned on the small hills in the Midwest but have been skiing the Sierras and the Rocky Mountains for the last 35 years.
This was a man made avalanche as Snowbird ski resort ski patrol worked diligently to keep the mountain safe. A series of detonations at the top of a cornice set this one off.

Avalanche I

This is an image of an avalanche at the Snowbird Ski Resort outside of Salt Lake City. The avalanche was set off by the Snowbird ski patrol to keep the mountain safe.
Here a large plume of snow is falling over a cliff and just hitting the bowl below the cliff.
This part of the mountain is very steep and the snow shows an incredible force as it burst into the bowl.

The rapidly approaching #CanadianElection isn't a certain win for either major party. Polling favours the #Liberals due to interim PM Mark Carney's handling of the US's aggression, but it's missing the returning #snowbird niche. In 2 days I've heard 2 stories from that group: one who hates every dollar "lost" to Liberal policies, has Florida property and is open to ideas like "one Canada-US currency," and another whose car with Quebec plates was vandalized in FLA, who fears invasion.

I’t’s been so cold lately, I am trying NOT to read too much into the fact that some people call Dark-Eyed Juncos “Snowbirds”.
