I now own 4 #squeezebox radios (kitchen, living room, bathroom and a backup unit) and they still serve us well.
Long after #logitech dropped support the #opensource community keeps them alive and kicking with e.g. #airplay support.
Also check #iPeng for control from #iOS devices.

Finished typing up all 274 newspaper references I found to a German accordion player, travelling around Scotland between 1852 and 1903, giving performances, and offering local tuning and repair services for accordions and related instruments. He was still travelling in the north of Scotland just a few months before he died in 1903. Next step: analyse the data and write it up as an academic journal paper. Extract from a newspaper page: "SPROUSTON - Herr J.G. Yung, the celebrated accordionist, a native of Germany, gave one of his brilliant and fascinating musical entertainments in the Schoolroom here on Thursday evening, the 15th instant. The audience on the occasion was very respectable, and the performer, who possesses an unassuming, gentlemanly demeanour, played a great number of German pieces with exquisite taste and skill. He executed also several of Scotia's finest airs in a style and with a delicacy and pathos which at once captivated and astonished his audience. The powers of the accordion were to us entirely unknown until we heard it touched by the skilful hands of Herr Yung."

Part of a newspaper page. The report text is "HOLM / MUSICAL ENTERTAINMENT - Herr J.G. Yung, the eminent accordionist, gave a concert in the Subscription School, Holm, on the evening of Friday week. The attendance was good, considering the season of the year. Captain E. Scollay and lady, and many other respectable persons belonging to the parish, being present. Herr Yung is a great master of the accordion. He played some beautiful German airs, and some of the choicest pieces of Scotch music, with exquisite taste, and gave great satisfaction to all who were present. As the accordion is much used in Orkney, all who have a taste for that elegant instrument should do themselves the pleasure of hearing Herr Yung, who, as a performer on the accordion, excels all we have ever seen handle the instrument."

Back to typing up newspaper references to the German accordionist and tuner I found travelling around mid/late 19th century Scotland. Have now typed up 240/276 newspaper references to him. "HERR YUNG's CONCERT - This talented musician gave a concert in the Freemasons' Hall here, on Tuesday evening, when he was assisted by Mr Thomas Young, of Galashiels, and Mr J. Horsburgh, of Selkirk. Of Herr Yung's abilities as an accordionist it would be difficult to speak in too high terms. His execution is as nearly perfect as can be conceived; and all the pieces were rendered with admirable taste. The delicacy and purity of tone which he produces from his favourite instrument is something altogether different from the somewhat harsh tones of the accordion in the hands of an ordinary performer. The vocal part of the entertainment devolved principally upon Mr Young, many of whose songs were well given. Mr Horsburgh was by no means so successful in his efforts as his previous appearances led us to expect, and the effect of his songs was greatly married by the feeling of trepidation from which he seemed unable to escape. The concert, as a whole, seemed to give general satisfaction, and we have no doubt that the impression produced by Herr Yung's performances will ensure for him a much larger audience on his next visit."
