Wir haben am Wochenende ein paar (neue) #brettspiele zu zweit gespielt.
Begonnen haben wir mit Bomb Busters. Da es überall sehr gelobt wird, waren die Erwartungen verdammt hoch. Unseren Geschmack hat es aber nicht so richtig getroffen. Irgendwie fehlte uns die Story. Einfach nur auf Zahlen zeigen fanden wir nicht spannend.

Dann kam Caldera Park auf den Tisch. Die Fortsetzung von Savanna Park. Kurzweiliges Familienspiel mit schönen Grafiken von Annika Heller.

Dann durfte nochmal eines unserer Lieblingswohlfühlspiele ran, Meadow - im Reich der Natur. Wieder mit der Abenteuerbuch-Erweiterung. Auch das Dritte Kapitel, Windmühlen, hat wieder Spaß gemacht.

Und Finspan war auch nochmal angesagt. Für mich die perfekte Ergänzung zu Flügelschlag. Ich kann damit mehr anfangen als mit den Drachen von Schwingenschlag.

Und zum Abschluss am Sonntagvormittag durfte uns das frisch erschienene Rival Cities unterhalten. Es ist ein Zweipersonen Spiel in dem die Rivalität der beiden Städte Hamburg und Altona thematisiert hat. Grafiken auch hier von Annika Heller.

Tolles Spiel um ein historisches Thema.

🍷 Unfortunately for me, right now I don't play Viticulture nearly as much I'd want, which is a pity because it really is a cozy, unassuming, easy to learn game with a very down-to-earth theme, which makes it perfect for beginners of this hobby that don't necessarily enjoy Spaceships & Dragons™.

🍷 I especially enjoy board games that take a more down-to-earth approach to themes, because there's so much wonder in reality as well! Almost anything can be interesting. Even if it's seldom played, Viticulture is still one of my favorite games.

Packing up after my first #boardgame of #Apiary. I’ve always been a huge fan of #Stonemaier’s #Euphoria. The gameplay similarities combined with that little nudge upwards in complexity mean that this could become my new favorite.

Sure, my shelves and stacks of tabletop games are bursting at the seams and about to topple over, but c'mon... Space Bees. And it's worker placement, no direct conflict. How can I be expected to pass on that.

I see a lot of people have received their preordered copies of the #Expeditions #BoardGame and I'm wondering where my copy is. The tracking #Stonemaier sent followed a package to a different city, and email has not garnered a new tracking number even after three days. *sigh*

Starting our "C" games tonight *which thankfully we have a lot more of than the single "B" game* with a blast from the past, Charterstone.

We loved the legacy aspect of this game but I don't think we ever played again after we were done. Will update with thoughts later tonight!

I gave #Stonemaier #Charterstone a try post-campaign with two Automa tonight. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t spectacular. 79-73-67 with me in third place.

I then burned through a solo #Wingspan with a crisp 77-71 win. I felt much better about the latter experience.

Got another chance to get the reprint of Libertalia (this time known as Libertalia: Winds of Galecrest) to the table and take another crack at the solo Automa. I lost... again. This time 83 to 95. I really suck at this game but you can't deny the draw of the colorful "Starburst" pieces lol.
