Grill Time.

The last shot in this short stroll back on November 21st. I took several shots here and eventually tried to make a 3D anaglyph out of it, and partially succeeded, but I had to abandon the idea because it would be hard to remove some critical info from the image as I did here (plate number and some phone number were removed).
The car seems to belong to some restaurant, but apparently it had been forgotten here for a long time. Actually you could see the front of the car on the far right of yesterday's post.

Ancient Coding

Second shot in my stroll, on November 21st, and usually I'm not a big fan of graffiti (unless it is some fancy art of some sort), but this one was somewhat interesting for me; maybe because it looked like some kind of coding or something. Shot in brackets (for HDR) and tone-mapped. Working with HDR with shots that were already taken with a special filter is kinda tricky.

和諧的複雜性

Starting with a new stroll (short one unfortunately) which took place on November 21st. I didn't find much interesting stuff in this stroll (and mainly because of some annoyances). Nevertheless, I've tried my best, at least in the post process.
The shooting for this stroll is done, again, with 35mm lens and H-alpha filter. This shot here was horizontal actually, but I reckoned it would be better in vertical format.
Oh yeah, the titles reads as "harmonious complexity".

The last shot from my stroll on November 17th!
This shot was taken as I was walking back home. In my walk, I was carrying two glasses (one with shades and one without). The light conditions and the fog might be normal or alright for people with proper vision, but I need to rely on shades even on hazy or cloudy days because I need some contrast. Meanwhile, as I was walking with double shades on, I've noticed the view of the sun and decided to shoot the scene and try to mimic how I saw it through the shades. My shades are yellowish though but nevertheless, and because of the Hα filter, of course I couldn't mimic the colors exactly.
I've made several shots here actually with a bit of movement. In the process, I've combined the images as a panorama, and hence the double flare (which is abnormal of course). The rest, of course, is a story of adjusting the colors, dodge and burn and stuff like that. I preferred to crop this one with a ratio of 2.33:1 (a.k.a. Cinemascope ratio) instead of 16:9 to give it more of, well, a cinematic look!

Чудной!

Still with my stroll on November 17th, and shooting with Hα filter. I came across this bike somewhere that I can't even remember. Honestly, it was just the stance of the bike that attracted me, but after checking the images back home, I've realized that the place is filled with cars and this is the only bike (hence the title). Such bikes typically used by car cleaners (ready to be hired on a daily or monthly basis by home owners around to clean their cars daily before they head to work).
Now, the bike is facing right and I wished to put it on the left side of the image to give it a space (as if going into the frame), but unfortunately the tree on the right would block the view if I move to the right. So, I kept it that way and made the tree to be somewhat a framing element to the scene.
It feels soft, because it was shot at f/1.4, with focus on the bike specifically.

Back to my stroll. which was on November 17th, where I roamed around the block as usual with 35mm and modified camera, and Hα filter on lens.
This stop sign is just in the corner out of my neighborhood and I've tried to shoot it in various angles (and tried to raise my arm to be in level with it). The final outcome here had been cropped to a large extent actually, mainly to remove the bright sky. It was shot at f/1.4 to keep the background blurred. What I don't recall here is this black splash on the sign; I don't think it was there when I shot this, and it could be a result of the filter (sometimes filters make the invisible visible for sure).
The biggest struggle here was to increase the contrast in such a way to make the words on the sign be clear. Because the filter is already in the red tones, the sign was almost washed out and nothing was visible there (except for the black area of course).

Statistically Speaking.

Here, after shooting on the bridge, as I was going down on the stairs, I've glimpsed (or rather felt) that there is something to shoot here but the sun rays were blinding my eyes (and let's not talk about the flies that started to eat me alive!). So, I've changed the aperture to f/11, and fixed the camera accordingly (using hyperfocal distance principle) and boom. Honestly, I didn't know what was I shooting and didn't check it out till I got back home that morning.
When I checked it out it highly resembled some statistical graph of something going up (or down, if you read it as in Arabic from the right, just like my life is). Some crop here and there and voila! A recession graph! ^_^

コンクリートの大社

Still on the pedestrian bridge, and I've decided to shoot with f/1.4 putting the focus on the beginning of the roof. Back home, the shot reminded me of Fushimi Inari Taisha (伏見稲荷大社), hence the title. Never been to the place, unfortunately, but of course it is well-known from pictures!
I've actually done a panorama on a bridge like this (5 minutes walk from this one or so) back in 2013. The arabesque design is still a favorite target to me.
How strange it is that I've never thought of crossing the bridge to the other side and see what's to shoot there???
