I used to live in an apartment with a sunroom. This sounds great until you realize the entire room was covered in shag carpeting. Floor, ceiling, and walls. It was thick with years and years of dust. It smelled like a drier that never had the lint trap cleaned. I'm not sure what colour the carpet was originally, but it looked grey. Sunset light pouring through the glass walls of a sun room attached to an inviting two story beach house with tropical greenery and palm trees. Vivid blue hues predominate in sea, sky, and shadows.

I am taking a chance and moved all the #HousePlants back out to the (unheated) #sunroom Will have to use the space heater a few nights still, but they are tired of spending the entire winter on the kitchen table.

As soon as they're back I realize how much I missed the green in this room. Happy #Spring and #Easter, everyone. Hope the bunny brings much chocolate.

Most of my Christmas Cactii on a wooden sofa table (quite tall, narrow, with a single shelf underneath.) The table is sitting against a mostly-glass wall. The top shelf has 5 pots of various sizes, with some of the larger cactus, and one dracaenae (I think) too.

The lower shelf has a decorative tile and 3 plants. These are all a little rougher-looking, but I have high hopes for their summer here, with all the light. I've added a lot of these plants over the winter. Yes, dog-displacement activities.

Well, what do you know? Another sofa table, with a lower shelf stands with a few plants on it. This one has a pothos on top which has gone completely crazy, so I had to re-weave all of its runners all over the lamp and bird statue on the shelf. Looks rather messy. The lower shelf has my 2 original Christmas cacti, each in a birch-bark cache pot.

Next to them freestanding on the floor is a 4+ foot tall dracaenae in a lime green pot. If it gets any bigger I'm going to have to cut a hole in the ceiling (joke.) A small snake plant sits on a round table, too.

Pretty darned happy to see all this green again.

Putting away the quilts and throws scattered around the house. Thinking that the #sunroom looks darned bare, as we wait for the warmer temps of #spring.

Wtih the time change, I'm poised to do something stupid, like move my plants back out there from the kitchen table too early.

Sitting in my #sunroom, first coffee finished [bwaaaaaaaah], sun nicely warming my back, reading my Masto on my #Fedora #KDE lappy... & a large flock of glorious #SulphurCrestedCockatoos just squawked by.

Pleasant autumn mornings like this almost make me forget that the #ClimateCrisis apocalypse is upon us & escalating, whilst instead some peeps focus only on how they can hurt, suppress & extinguish all we #trans peeps.

I'll make another coffee, & try to ignore it all, for a bit longer...
