Una cosa que no pensaba que fuera a salir es el remaster del System Shock, un juego de los que marcaron un antes y un después.

Menos aún me esperaba un caótico modo multiplayer en este juego tan eminentemente monojugador, pero lo han pintado como una experiencia descacharrante para fans que supongo que será divertido una vez dentro. Para quitarle hierro a la historia tan turbochunga y opresiva del juego.

Inevitably I did go back and re-play System Shock! Really enjoyed it and the enhanced version available from GOG works really well on Linux Mint.

The only extra step I needed to do was install QSynth in order to get the MIDI soundtrack working properly. The game is perfectly playable without it but I was surprised at how much I was missing the music!

I am not a ubisoft fan girl, nor a steam hater.

i hate the inherent hypocrisie around certain things.

i had some of my best gaming memories with ubi games, (and at Cons Ubisoft was always very respectfull to their OBR's and those of others.)

but i also had some of my best memories with EA, Steam, heck even had some great memories with EA games ( #systemshock 2 comes to mind, using the multiplayer mod)

#systemshock is just #diehard in space. Shodan tries to takeover a station but due to an oversight misses one person (you, the player) who happens to be a hacker. The only difference is there are no hostages, just you trying to stop Shodan from from Firing the stations laser on Earth.

Started up #SystemShock yesterday and I've gotta say, I'm loving the remake so far. Planning to play the sequel later this year.

I missed the original, which was before my time, but it's already clear that #BioShock was a love letter to this game.

(Ken Levine worked on System Shock early in his career, if you didn't know)

It's easy to see influences on other games too, specifically games like #DeusEx and #Portal.

This is good stuff.

I started playing #SystemShock remastered, and I have to say we don't see these kind of remastered graphics enough. I love them, they preserve the original aesthetic while updating them just enough for modern gaming

I got #SystemShock (the remaster) because it was about time, and before started playing I saw there's a "goodie" (in GOG terms) which is the employee contract. I think I made the right decision reading it to inmerse and prepare myself for the game.
I think it's amazing that developers put such efforts into bringing the world and the story alive by using these kind of resources

I fucken did it, I just beat System Shock!

This game is absolute cinema, and a damn blast, I invite you all to play it if you can.

I loved the atmosphere, the environmental storytelling, the gameplay was fun (the combat is fine but the exploration, problem solving, and puzzles were great), the whole thing is just fire.
