At Prairie Garden Trust, they have benches all along the short trails. You can enjoy the view from an overlook or sit by a pond and enjoy the sounds of nature. This was a great place to stretch our legs and determine what direction to go next. Just be sure to spray for ticks first.

Our expansion project continues! Some beautiful landscaping is shaping up. Concrete steps are being poured for what will be our loading dock, and our new entrance is set to be on the opposite side of the building, with a walkway right next to the accessible parking signs.

Did you know that the green mattress covers on board the USS Albacore served multiple purposes?

These covers were fire-resistant. A submariner's greatest fear while submerged is a fire, but these covers shielded the mattresses from igniting. The green covers also prevented the mattresses from absorbing the moisture in the air which helped to protect the bedding.
