Hey there. I have an update on Ashley Diamond, a Black trans woman, survivor, and activist. She has the opportunity to travel out of the especially trans-hostile state she's currently residing in, for a safe and affirming shelter situation. She's currently unhoused and unsheltered, and has been assaulted several times in the past couple of months alone, which compounds the already traumatic experiences she suffered in prison.
She is in need of $130 for her train and transportation costs (she had a train ticket for earlier this week and unfortunately, due to circumstances outside of her control, was unable to leave at that time but got the ticket turned into a voucher), and at least $20 for food on the way.

Although Diamond was released in 2015, she was reincarcerated in 2019 on a technical parole violation; she visited a gender-affirming mental health treatment facility in Florida, outside of the state of Georgia, which she was not allowed to leave. Hey everyone. Ashley Diamond, a Black trans woman and activist who survived the violence of incarceration in Georgia, is in need of some help in the form of direct aid. She's been out of prison and struggling to stay sheltered and safe, and would like to move out of state to start over.

Ok, finally. For Devi, a comrade of mine, and their family, who is very dear to me. Right now, the big push is for $400 to get their FSA (an account that they can use for medical costs in the so-called United States) out of the negative. It was garnished by a health provider for unpaid bills, which is really fucked, of course. They need it so they can pick up prescriptions that have copays (which is most of the family's prescriptions, unfortunately). We've got $40/400 so far.

Looking for a good org to donate to? I can't recommend Point of Pride enough. They're helping to get FREE gender affirming care to poor trans people who can't afford it, including shapewear, electrolysis, HRT, and even surgery. They're doing life-saving work, and they can always use more funds to help more people.
Consider setting up a monthly donation of just a few dollars if you're able. It's the cost of a cup of coffee every 30 days that goes toward helping some of the most vulnerable people in our society right now.
