Nobody is surprised that business corporations, government bureaucracies, hieratic churches and authoritarian political
parties are in practice, as in theory, inimical to liberty, equality and fraternity. (They are also incompetent: as Paul Goodman puts it - central organization "mathematically
guarantees stupidity.")
What at first surprises, and what cries
out for explanation, is that egalitarian and libertarian organizations sooner or late r-usually sooner - end up the same way.
The sneaking suspicion must be that there is something about centralised organising that is just plain wrong.
Emma Goldman once stood in a square in New York City and told the gathered crowds that if their bosses would not give them what they required to live then they should go to the bosses' houses and take it.
No one says stuff like that these days. But they should.
(Goldman got arrested and served 10 months in prison for incitement to riot.)

I don't "hope to achieve anarchism" because I don't hope to impose any "ism" on anyone. Imposition is the problem not the solution.
It is more a case of allowing agency, autonomy and free association to take place as they should without being subject to the coercions of authoritarian people. And for that to happen authoritarians everywhere must be defeated .
