MUTUAL AID REQUEST:

📖 Background story: back in 2015ish my sister Amy had a dental extraction that went badly. In the time since, she's had intermittent pain at the extraction site, and finally had to go to three dental surgeons for a consultation about that pain. She doesn't have dental insurance to cover this because she's disabled and on Medicaid.

😷 The surgeons all determined that there was a hole in her mandible where the tooth had been, and a bunch of shards from that tooth and part of the jawbone had become embedded in the gum. They told her she would urgently need to get the shards extracted, to have bone grafted into the hole to prevent further possibility of infection and widening into the sinus cavity, and that she would need implants.

The total cost of these procedures is going to hit almost $14k. 😫💲She's already had the first surgery!

Notes to the Affected Community.

During our last event at The Heron’s Nest, we offered the community the opportunity to write notes to victims of police violence & their families. We've attached some of those heartfelt messages so that those impacted by police violence know that they are not alone.
