As tulip season ends, reflections on some of my favorite tulips from the past: the Lake of Fire collection.

White tulips..... and this one is so dreamy, never disappoints, and blooms early enough for us here in Georgia Zone 7B - even after a horribly brutal winter. I have it paired with Sorrel 'Raspberry Dressing' which is not only an ornamental plant, but an edible one too.

The tulips are coming to a close now, but this red bunch has lasted a full month. Not all tulips are created equal. This batch has been stellar!

Double pink tulips are having their say this week. These are a few of the survivors from the devastating Christmas Freeze last year that killed so many plants here in Georgia.

Tulip 'Flair' (Single Early as it is classified) is one of those spring sirens, sure to stop traffic in a flowerbed or container garden. It never disappoints.
