Is there an easy way to rewoot a post and add tags, similar to how it works on tumblr? As far as I can tell, there's no way to do it from the rewoot button, and the closest thing I've figured out is quote wooting with only tags.

You want to use hashtags a lot. You can put them anywhere but if you put them at the bottom they get sorted out in a good way. You can also _follow_ hashtags which is really helpful.

Getting started here can be kind of daunting? But it's pretty rewarding once you start to get the hang of it ^_^

btw this is probably easy to guess but i was okadaizoirl on tumblr! only didn't take that username here because okadaibro is my usual first choice but someone was squatting on that URL

my one hit post not related to the hammer car explosion was a post with defensive driving advice and me mistaking it at first for generally just superb life advice

So it looks like a lot of people from #Tumblr are joining the #Fediverse. Welcome, Tumblr people! Here are some things I picked up after arriving during the Twitter influx.

1: Follow @FediTips. They post lots of helpful tips for new users.

2: You don't have to use #Mastodon. #Sharkey and #Akkoma are more similar to Tumblr, but you can follow a Mastodon acccount with a Sharkey account, and vice versa. That's the power of the Fediverse.
