Linux for monitoring and #BitfocusCompanion. #OBS as (false color) monitor with a #UltraStudio Thunderbolt3 frame grabber and for LUFS-I loudness monitoring.

Without the #Elgato #StreamDeck handled by #BitfocusCompanion this would be impossible to operate with a single brain and only two hands. #PTZcamera also controlled with Companion.

Seems older TB2 #blackmagic #ultrastudio devices works with #thunderbolt 3 adapter, even on #Windows
Unfortunately I don't have access to a #linux device with thunderbolt so no idea about that.

I am NOT saying that Blackmagic Design products are bad. I have already bought a ATEM Mini Pro, DeckLink Recorder (x3), Ultrastudio Recorder and Ultrastudio Monitor.

What I am saying is that on Linux, DaVinci Resolve is NOT the best solution for video editing.

Ahoj přátelé, neměl by prosím někdo na půjčení Blackmagic Design UltraStudio Monitor 3G, případně nějaké jiné BMD UltraStudio či jiné zařízení, které umí clean out z CasparuCG ve FHD po SDI anebo HDMI? 🙏

(případně pokud jej používáte s vMixem, OBS apod. tak by také mělo fungovat na to co potřebuji)

Zapůjčil bych si jej ideálně na celý příští týden, popř. pokud by to nešlo alespoň na čtvrtek (29.8.) - sobotu (31.8.)

Mám problémy se svým desktopem a potřebuju playout na akci, tak vymýšlím záložní řešení s notebookem.
Samozřejmě zaplatím.

Is anyone around here familiar with Black Magic Design's Ultrastudio line?

I'd like to use it to stream input from my gaming consoles and PC at the moment and hope to use one to step up into more advanced cinematography once I get a camera or two.

Can the Ultrastudio line do this kind of stuff? Is spending the extra bit on the 4k Mini worth it if I plan on recording in 4k in the future or should I wet my feet with the HD Mini first?

mhhh, the #Archlinux #AUR package for #decklink cards hasn't yet been updated to 11.6, so it doesn't have support for #UltraStudio Recorder 3G. Hope the maintainer will update soon, otherwise i'll have to compile the kernel module myself :(
