Here's a thought: #weiss realizes airing a thorough piece on #minneapolis (which seems to be in the works), would add more evidence the Trump #immigration crackdown isn't just inhumane, but has goals far past addressing "fraud," so she opts to air the #CECOT story now and hopes #minneapolis will boil over, so the final #60minutes story will be more favorable to Trump.

Guess what happened instead? They canceled at the last minute - which is right in line with Alfonsi got from the Administration in the first place.

Pinkfarbene Elefanten

Letzthin waren von unserem Küchenfenster aus einige pinkfarbene Elefanten zu sehen. Zusammen mit gelben Eseln, weissen Pferden und anderen Tieren standen sie auf einem Anhänger und harrten der Dinge, die da kommen sollten. Das Gestänge, das auch auf dem Anhänger befestigt war, liess unschwer darauf schliessen, dass es sich hier um ein Karussell handelte, das solcherart zerlegt an seinen temporären Einsatzort gefahren werden würde.

Das Karussell war so systematisch und platzsparend verstaut, dass man wohl zu recht den Eindruck erhielt, es werde regelmässig an verschiedenen Orten gebraucht. Dies ist naheliegend, da ein Mann in unserer Nachbarschaft Eigentümer eines Geschäftes ist, das Karussells, Bimmelbahnen, Bullriding und ähnliche Event-Module vermietet und auch gleich betreibt.

Ich würde gerne mal auf solch einem Elefanten im Kreis herum reiten. Dies stelle ich mir noch schön vor. Aber dafür bin ich wohl zu alt.

Und vor allem zu schwer …
