A couple of years ago I began working on a #synthdiy, which is also to be a #modularsynth and an #analoguesynth or #analogsynth.
A sudden change in circumstances brought the project to a shuddering halt, but I'm going to try to get it going again this year. Most of what I'd done was on paper (computer), laying out an initial standard for myself, so nothing was lost in the interim.
Now that I've found the DIY synth community on here I have an open question (next toot).
Hi. This is one of my albums I'm the most proud of. It owes as much of a debt to the Radiophonic Workshop, Tristam Carey and early electronic post-punk as it does to 80s electro, acid house and detroit techno. Odd ambient squiggles, atmospheric electronica, a John Carpenteresque soundtrack and some whimsy.

Okay. Superwave VST plugs are really, really nice.. Just experimented with Tarkus and Sirius and both sound awesome- very authentic oldschool synth sound. You CANNOT use Korg MS2000 presets with it though. Thats a bummer.
But it is still very much worth having these synths because they sound sooooo nice.

Created from depression, a surreal hospital stay & subsequent diagnosis of epilepsy. Tied to meet the experience creatively & transform something in myself. Structurally/harmonically my most succinct work though improvised. Imperfections become the thing. Cracked notes, unsure bow strokes, uncertain intonation.
