Finding some nice photos in my archive that I should've included in older blog posts, but for whatever reason, didn't. 🤔
"Soft Colors in a Hard Landscape" from a hike in the Calcite Mine area of Anza Borrego Desert State Park, in January 2015... just 10 years ago... ouch!

#PhotoOfTheDay is of a shot from my Land Cruiser, driving along the flat desert of Anza Borrrego in Southern California, not far north of the Mexican border. My friend Anthony's Land Cruiser is a bit ahead of me. We were on our way to an overland gathering called Desert Rendezvous.

One of my favorite places: Wind Caves, Anza-Borrego Desert State Park.

Ever heard of The Slot in Anza-Borrego Desert State Park? It's a hidden gem in Southern California, and I recently had the chance to explore its otherworldly beauty. Imagine hiking through a narrow canyon with towering rock walls, sunlight filtering through the crevices, and the feeling of being transported to another planet. It's a truly awe-inspiring experience! Have you ever explored a slot canyon? 🏜️

Spent the day hiking with friends.
If you need to get outside, no place is more outside than the #AnzaBorrego desert.

Long time with no posts...COVID is a bitch.
Finally able to get out and about, so I hiked through the Coyote Mountains Wilderness in the #AnzaBorrego desert. Spectacular vistas in every direction.
Somehow, this reminded me of the area I used to explore 🤔 I stayed away, though…
