On a weekend getaway near Penticton, BC, I recorded this bird I'd never heard before (we can hear several birds but one in particular stood out).

5am wake-up call by the crow alarm clock...
I really like those birds for how smart they are, but the one thing I cannot stand is their loud calls, especially when they wake me up at 5am, which happens quite often when it's the babies period. Indeed, that means more alarm/danger mob calls than usual.

As Winter fast approaches and the temperatures are starting to dip substantially here in Montreal, I find myself drawn towards my much-neglected Audio blog. My last update was back in the Spring and I haven't done any since then and honestly haven't had much ambition to touch anything audio-related, well at least not blog-related. The Summer sped by so fast, but wasn't all that productive. A few family issues have taken me away from my projects. More updates to follow. #audio #audio365

Just read about this AI denoiser tool on @Podnews newsletter, and without having dug into it too much, it does seem like a decent tool to filter out those annoying hissing frequencies you get from fans and air conditioners.
I have a plugin on my iPad/iPhone called Brusfri which does much the same (albeit manually), but that costs a bit on Mac.
