I know the #APNews and #CNN called the Iowa #caucuses based on their own internal procedures, but is it just me or did it seem absurd that they called the caucus results within a half hour of the caucuses starting, with people still making speeches supporting their candidate?

People supporting candidates other than Trump heard the result and just left, thus giving Trump an EVEN BIGGER win.🤦‍♂️

REMINDER: #Caucuses are not #Primaries!

The former are exclusively for the Party Faithful and encourage extremist positions; the latter are accessible to all voters and as such encourage moderation.

Especially in #FITN #NH where 1/3rd of the electorate are formally Undeclared, and so eligible to vote strategically in *either* party’s primary.

A #caucus is a terrible way to pick a candidate because anyone who can't be there at 7 pm on caucus night can't participate. Have to work? Sorry, you're disenfranchised.

It seems more democratic because there's this aspect of debating and getting someone to switch to your candidate, but how much does that happen, really?

Ban #caucuses.
