Just back from a biting cold dusk wander along the Itchen where I saw a flash of bright blue and then the flashing glittering flutter of the kingfisher it turned out to be as he struggled to breach out the water with a fish so big it shouldn't be possible.
Someone isnt going to nest tonight with an empty belly!

Out losing myself and I can actually hear the earth drinking.
Scents: wet tansy like sweetened milk. Soft tobacco taste of wet fertile soil. The fresh bite of uncut nettles.
