DAE use microsoft teams chat for all or some of the following reasons?

It's not meta - too much zuckerbergishness.

It's not Google - Google Chat *is Good* *except* that, for me, and I assume others, maybe have a setup on their phones where we use the "multiple users" function to have an "alt space* where we can be a little more laid back than our *default space*. the issue being that, we have to keep our google profiles separate on those two multiple user spaces, because, if we login to our default profile inside the "alt user space with our alt google profile", it could risk like, for example, what if images and crap get mixed up on google photos or some shit, that can be kinda annoying, or possibly more than annoying.

Google has *almost* solved this issue with private space in android 15, however, private space, while it works in the default user space, we *cannot* create a private space in an alt user space. so, google, please bring us the ability to create a private space in a second user space. thank you.

It is microsoft - basically, the issue with the google stuff from just above, and also, that its not meta, but also, *because its not either of those* i find that the features and functions have given rise to better innovation which leads to my following things -

The edit button is comprehensive (allows editing any message at anytime, and not just for text, but for files and photos too.

multiple devices - but way beyond just whatsapp. whatsapp is so f**kin limiting in terms of having multiple logged in "sessions". like, you have *one* main device and can only add 4 extra and if you login by accident without adding a device as a linked device it wipes your whatsapp history. ugh. what is nice with teams chat is that while it *is* more similar to email in that its widely accessible without deleting all your stuff, you get all the teams chat benefits like the comprehensive edit button etc. you control your digital footprint on teams chat. if someone says "you said this" or something, its like the principle of it, well its teams chat, its a more laid back experience. you can communicate without having to feel like everything is 100 percent in stone, while still being able to communicate.

multiple android user sessions. stock android supports multiple users, which i think a lot of people may use for themselves to have an alt space in addition to their default space. whatsapp doesn't work in this regard because, you can't login on your default user space, and then link your second user space as a linked device, i guess unless you use a second *device* as the main device and then link each user space as a 2nd and 3rd device, but then you don't have access to your main device! its infurating! whatsapp needs to add the ability to have 2 main devices from which you can link multiple devices from each. at least give us the option. so this is why i like how teams chat succeeds in this area. it just works.

why Microsoft teams chat is the best way to communicate with loved ones while being able to control our digital footprint

you know what Google chat needs? the ability to sign in with more than just a Google account.

fictional observer: why?

me: because, I think might do something like call it the "Facebook messenger test"

fictional observer: what's that?

me: ok, so wherever you are, if you're on this device, that device, this profile or that profile, wherever you are, you can kind of count on the annoying fact that, if you sign in to fuckin Facebook messenger, you're not really carrying too much baggage, ...

fictional observer: so why not just use Facebook messenger

me: I mean, honestly, I do not like the fact that the edit button is so restrictive on Facebook messenger

fictional observer: why do you need an edit button

me: a lot of it is about the principal ... I want control of my digital footprint. yeah, we can *delete* messenges on Facebook messenger. but its Facebook. that's another thing. if i'm having a thread going with my mother, my brother, or other close family members, I really do *not* want it to be via a Facebook/meta property. i don't like thinking that fuckin mark zuckerberg is like, *part of it all*. ugh.

I want it to be Microsoft. I like thinking that the platform I'm using to communicate not only is a Microsoft property, but is also the property with the best abilities in terms of having an edit button that works indefinitely, and also allows not only text editing, but adding and removing images as well. full control of our digital footprint.

fictional observer: also, back to Google chat, why do you need the ability to login with other credentials other than Google credentials.

me: ok, so, I have a 2 user setup on both Android (pixel) and chromeOS (Chromebook). I have the default user, and an alt user. and so, I actively avoid logging into Google accounts from the default user when i'm logged into the alt user account. android 15 introduced private space, but that works on the default user, and not the alt user, so that doesn't really help me. I tried creating a *space* on Google chat, and like, adding the default Google account and the alt Google account, but that's not nearly as elegant as a solution as Microsoft teams. with Microsoft teams, I can literally just login on any user space, and I don't have to worry about it logging into all my other fuckin Google app properties like Gmail, Google photos, etc...

draft - Google chat is a good service. One issue I have is that, on Google systems like Android and chromeOS though, I can't have it replaced Microsoft teams chat though because, since it's a Google property, it carries the baggage of an entire Google account (photos, files, email etc) when logging in, compared to teams chat, which doesn't. If Google could somehow add the ability to have a check box to "just login to this one app (don't sign in to other Google apps)" or something to that effect, on android and chromeOS, it'd help maybe to give us a way to address the issue for now, until a more substantial fix came along, like the additional ability to login to Google chat with a couple other alternate forms of verification like a non-google maybe or the ability to add an outlook email as a login method or something like that.

draft - Microsoft teams chat, thank you for being the best cross platform cloud based chat platform and the generous edit button which allows us to control our digital footprint of text, images, and files, how we see fit.

Question: Can we get the ability to schedule an emoji reaction? Could you give users this ability? Or could you at least improve the schedule send function so it's less glitchy?

Thank you

draft - voice messages for google chat -

"To send a voice message in Google Chat, users must first tap the microphone icon and begin recording. Unlike other apps, users are not forced to hold down the microphone..."

this is the way. the requirement to hold down the mic button on screen is weird / unapproachable especially for some users. so the ability to just tap once to record makes more sense.

please can we have the option for all free users? thank you.

google docs chat mode with time stamps and name stamps

draft - google docs. when i type something, and i want to then go back and like "reply to it", i don't want to make like a time stamp. could we get a proper "chat mode" or "chat format" in google docs itself? so that, we can make "posts" inside a google doc?

android apps and the ability to login to one google app at a time on android with a checkbox to disable automatically logging into the other apps. you could even hide it behind a "more options" function so that novice users don't have to see it right up front, if that's the issue

draft - google, thank you for last summer's google chat update. really like the control I feel I have over my digital footprint with the forever edit button.

Can we also get a function in android where, when signing into an app like google chat, whereby, in the sign in screen, there'd be a checkbox that says something like "only sign into this app with this google account (do not sign into other google apps with this google account.) or something to that effect? that way, when using google chat on multiple profiles, it would solve the desire for data segregation. i know it's possible that its a niche issue, but I still think its an issue that could be addressed, and if you address it, we would be thankful.

also, could we get voice messages for everyone? but please bring the ability to login to *one app at a time* with a google account on android first. make that a priority as that's more of a "backbone" functionality to the service, as, even if/when we get voice messages, the inability to only log into the google chat app by itself, that kinda concerns me for certain use cases. thank you for understanding, and thank you devs for the work that you do.

oh and another question - could you bring us the ability to edit images in sent messages? we can currently delete images from sent messages, but going along with the forever edit button, could you bring us the ability to add images to sent messages as well?

but please bring the ability to login to *one app at a time* with a google account on android the priority. make that a priority as that's more of a "backbone" functionality to the service, as, even if/when we get the ability to add/edit images in sent messages, the inability to only log into the google chat app by itself, that kinda concerns me for certain use cases. thank you for understanding, and thank you devs for the work that you do.

xpost - draft - why I like microsoft teams chat:

- forever edit button for text, photos, files, etc
- cloud chat / cross platform, iOS, android, web,
- microsoft login - good for android / chromeOS with multiple user profile setup so that if you intend on data segregation across multiple user profiles, since it's a msft account, you don't have to worry about accidental cross google account data leaks, in google photos for example

draft - a few things i'd like to see for google chat:

an improved / spruced up login system. for example, i may want to login to google chat with my outlook email. can i do that? it'd almost be nice/interesting if google chat was somehow spun off from other google services to function more "on its own". so that, when you sign into google chat, it wouldn't login to all the other google apps.

tbh, that's, sort of, i feel like the most important aspect to begin with. i could say things like "oh i want the voice messages function to come to free users etc" but like, before that can even happen, i almost feel like adding the ability to login to google chat without logging into all the other google apps should be maybe an option. i dunno

draft - I typed the following into Google chat:

This is a test of the Google chat draft functionality to see if, if I don't send this message, will the draft be a "cloud draft" that I can access on my other devices or just on this device only. Ok lemme check.

Ok so I looked on my other devices, and unfortunately, no, the draft message I typed here but did not send unfortunately does *not* appear to sync across the cloud. Kinda sad.

So, dear Google, thank you for Google chat. Do you think we could get an option for drafts that are typed and not sent to be saved to the cloud? It would be much appreciated. Thank you.
