I had a great experience at Age-Friendly AI's codesign workshop (agefriendlyai.ie/). The workshop explored older adults' views—their perceptions, hopes, and concerns—about AI's role in daily life.

Are you researching in #OpenStreetMap , #Feminism and #dataviz ? Do you create #dataviz using #Rstats? Do you have experience with #codesign?

If the answer is yes, we are looking for you! @twm and I are looking for a Part-time Research Assistant to join our #DigitalGoodNetwork project.

My colleagues Charlotte and Dirk are talking about shifting power from stakeholders to users through #coDesign and collaboration. They see 4 factors as vital for collaboration in the creation of public services: • shared risks • shared responsibility • shared rewards • shared resources

For real collaboration we need four shared Rs: Risks, rewards, responsibility and resources

In academic workshop on #codesign and the issue of what do people do with our research comes up. There’s difference between directly engaging with datasets/knowledge and the consequences of being with such information. The impact is not necessarily in the direct interaction with your stuff. 1/n

Thinking about discussion in doing #codesign workshop. The explicitness of asking and then leaving a gap for answers, questions, requests and offers. Taking a breath and pausing

Ask then pause

Always try to leave some artefact behind from workshop. A gift, a reminder, a way of sharing to more people who couldn’t be there. Little booklet on #CoDesign The concept of seriousness from civic assemblies last year. The idea of mattering from Moral Ambition book.

Codesign as questions. Asking to learn what is meaningful. Requesting help to show people they matter

Packing for academic #codesign workshop in Amsterdam. Taking my passive-aggressive facilitation cards along. This is without #AI version

Card with I have strong opinions but no actual knowledge on one side and I have actual knowledge or lived experience of this on the other

That #CoDesign creates a new space is important. It’s not about occupying and exploiting somebody else’s place and knowledge. You make a new place mutually.

Trying to form couple of ideas around why #codesign matters to institutions (based on some civic assembly work and Bregman’s new book Moral Ambition) Questions and Requests made humbly. Take people and their capacities seriously. People want to matter.

Getting closer with #PaperPrototyping of #CoDesign workshop sheet Making the Gap explicit. A new space for uncertainty, cocreation and new futures

A4 worksheet is folded so at first there is no gap and then it is unfolded so a gap is apparent in the middle.

Working in materials for using #CoDesign in academic research workshop. The Gap where CoDesign works is important. I am aware that few participants will know any Thompson Twins Into The Gap references so I won’t make them explicit but I’ll be humming tunes to myself in the corner.
