@drmorrisj that's why I'm thinking of starting with md, because ease of use. But for functions regarding law, it's more complex - and those files are not programmatically parsable - and I don't speak German, so I wouldn't know where to start.

Also, #CommonLaw will suck balls. How many centuries of precedent are we talking about here? Jesus Christ.

Ignorance of the #law is no excuse, they say, but in modern times #laws within common law and even civil law is large and unwieldy.

It's overtly complex, and I'm not even taking into account court proceedings and protocols - because I'm not a goddamn lawyer.

Therefore I'd need the help of #CommonLaw and #CivilLaw lawyers, to create the specifications needed to augment or add to standard markdown or notational formats so they they can be more functional than just a standard PDF.

#European countries' laws can be very different from #English common-law countries' (and E.U. #law even stranger), so I make no claim about those.

But you are #mistaken about #Canadian (and I believe all other English common-law countries) law - #facts #absolutely cannot be #copyrighted. You cannot stop someone #writing a #story based on facts you reveal in your story.
