@agapetos yes! the service being amazing indeed didn't deteriorate, but, as you might know, it's owned (after two sales) by Songtradr, a sus company that owns majority of world's music catalogue and fired half of the team (including all of union organizers) at the time of sale. so, while founders are long gone, nobody knows how this is panning out. meanwhile i feel it's important to continue the works (and support!) towards community-owned cooperative open source self-hostable federated solutions like #mirlo ( @mirlo ) #bandwagonfm ( @benpate ) and #jamCoop @jamcoop and #faircamp and #comradery @comradery and more...

I've joined a lot of protests in my home town of Melbourne over the last few decades. And I'm so glad I did.

Being surrounded by like minded souls helps you to feel grounded when so much else is spiralling into chaos. Being reminded you are not alone. Feeling some sense of validation that choosing to care for other people is a good path forward.

I never once believed those protests would change the government. But I knew they would change every one of us who turned up. For the better.

Comradery is now in beta stage.

Here’s my project presentation:

I’m working on a Skribe/Skribilo-based CI/CD blogging system, with HTML, Gemtext, LaTeX, and podcasts exports for sociological essays about computers and the internet. I’m slowly learning ConTeXt for patrons-only layouts, signed with OpenPGP. Everything I write should still be available to everyone; additionally, I will try to record my essays as podcasts and add them as RSS attachements; I’m also working on a TOML-based strict keywords and CW/TW taxonomy with 1 HTML, Gemtext, RSS, PDF feed per keywords combination, so readers may opt-in/opt-out accordingly.
I will try to put the emphasis on building and showcasing the right infra, especially one that doesn’t trap users in front of their screens, first; monetization and contents quality will be paramount but secondary to the public CI/CD infrastructure itself.
