Some of the songs have only had 2 plays. It's discouraging, and I'm considering posting them all to YouTube (despite their AI butchery, because this doesn't seem to happen there), and subsequently dropping PeerTube, as it does not peer with anyone, and I'm not a marketing team, or a bot, pumping links into your feed.

It takes hours for me to make one video, as I am not a video editor, and I don't run around making movies. I look up Creative Commons artwork and videos to splice together to make something halfway attractive, to accompany the music. They are as much of a pain in the ass for me to make as anything I've ever done (and used to get paid for).

I produced 30 of them. I'm about to begin recording a guitar-oriented album. I wonder which site I should post it to. It would be ever so nice if more people paid the tiniest bit of attention to PeerTube sites.

BTW, in an unrelated news item, I'm changing my name to Taylor Swift.

So far the bulk of the discussion is around musician-friendly hosting and discovery. But having people discussing ways of listening to their music using Free Code software could be useful. Especially when it comes to exploring potential integrations between media players apps and services using #FairCamp and #BandWagon.

I'm thinking about setting up a #FairCamp page where I give away my old music for free and link to pages where people can buy my newer music.

Liberta.vip recently shut down their Funkwhale server, so I started looking for alternatives for publishing audio files. That's how I came across #faircamp – a static website generator developed by @freebliss. As the name suggests, the generated pages are similar in structure to #bandcamp, but offer a much more appealing, minimalist design. Give it a try!

To all those bashing #Bandcamp. Because Bandcamp did bad things after being sold to some new owner… like laying off staff.

So, yes, you can argue to boycott Bandcamp now. Let's all go to #Mirlo, and let's all do #Faircamp.

In a world, in which I have to beat people into the face constantly in order to get a tiny blink of attention for my music, let's make it even harder for these little audience suckers!

So I'm missing 99% of potential listeners, because I avoid the rip-off of streaming platforms. Now let me boycott myself by offering my music *only* on platforms that are truly underground and 100% Jesus-style perfect.

Or not on any platform at all, with Faircamp. In times in which search engines suck big and nobody finds you on the web anymore.
