My favorite random local news station in a place I don't live is KTVB in Boise. Yesterday, they reported that the City of Boise made the #pride flag an official city flag so that they aren't prohibited from flying it by the state of Idaho.

Yesterday afternoon I went to a "Picnic of #pride and resistance" with the youngest and Snowy, our dog. It was a lovely afternoon.

At one point a young child came and stroked Snowy. The woman with him remarked that she was one of his two mums, and it was great to see the (#trans and #NonBinary) flags on display.

Some nerdy #gender laughs.

THEY RAIDED A QUEER BAR - AGAIN

May 3, 2025: 20 armed state police raided Ptown, a queer bar in Pittsburg [USA], mid-drag show.
The performer kept going. The crowd was forced into the rain.
No clear reason, just intimidation. Sounds familiar? Because it is!

A CENTURY OF RAIDS

Queer spaces have always been targeted:
- 1903: Ariston Bathhouse, NYC - 34 arrested
- 1953: New Orleans - Every known gay bar raided in one night
- 1966: Comton's Cafeteria Riot - trans women fought back
- 1969: Stonewall - Sparked a movement
- 2025: Still happening, it never stopped

WHY WE STILL DON'T TRUST COPS:

Cops marched at Pride while:
- Raiding bathhouses
- Beating queer people
- Profiling trans women
- Mocking murdered trans folks in reports
- Ignoring hate crimes

Trans women of colour have faced the worst of it. And still do.

WE REMEMBER. WE RESIST.

- Don't let history repeat under a different excuse.
- "Compliance checks" are the new "moral laws"
- Queer people aren't safe because of police, we've survived in spite of them
