There were some breaks in the cloud and patches of spring sunshine to be found on the moors today. Possibly I was the first human this tiny newborn foal had seen. Burrator Reservoir, Plymouth and the English Channel visible south in the background.

Cuckoo Rock. No cuckoos to be heard (a little too early in the year). But plenty of buzzards, ravens, great spotted woodpeckers and jays in the vicinity.
