@realestninja the TV in my back room has a smart app for Jellyfin (LG WebOS), but its limited to the codecs that shipped with the TV's web engine, I've taken to using #Delfin on the PC I have attached to that TV as it can do the AV1 media in my library without transcoding.

For the same reason the TV in my lounge (also webOS) has a 4K chromecast on it and I use the Android TV jellyfin app.

@qtuu seems it was the flatpak version of the Jellyfin server which was to blame for my lack of subtitles. When I finally managed to install the pacman version instead (an ORDEAL for someone used to GUI for the last few decades), the problem went away… (although, now I’m having different performance related problems and #Delfin installed via yay refuses to find my server on localhost). 😰

A little bit of a preview of the new #multiplex player layout - heavily inspired by #Delfin, minus the proper icons (which I will be adding soon, I promise)

#delfin is very quickly becoming my favourite non web based #jellyfin client.

New version even supports #trickplay timeline previews!
