Reading and reminding myself of a gem of a paper by Ernest and Brown. Compelling case of how compensatory changes in species populations to environmental fluctuations can maintain approximate steady state w/ rates of resource supply and resource consumption. #Introduction time

Hi everyone !

I'm Léa (she/her), postdoc in #Ecology at CNRS/University of Toulouse, France.

I'm interested in #SoilBiodiversity and #EcosystemFunctioning and the impacts of #GlobalChange such as #pollution.

Currently I study how a top predator (lizard) modulates the impacts of #climatechange on #belowground and #aboveground communities in a long term exciting experiment.

I mostly do #rstats now and am big fan of #metaanalysis and data synthesis in general.

👋 I am a senior research assistant in the #Altermatt_lab at #University_of_Zurich and #Eawag.

My research focuses on #amphipods, their #diversity and #distribution, both in epigean and subterranean #ecosystems. I combine field data and laboratory experiments to study the influence of connectivity on #diversity and the role of #amphipods for #ecosystem functioning in #freshwater.
