Przez ponad dekadę misja Tesli była jasna i szlachetna: ratujemy planetę poprzez elektryfikację. W Wigilię Elon Musk ostatecznie pogrzebał ten etap.
Z oficjalnego credo firmy zniknęło słowo „sustainable”. Zastąpiło je słowo, które brzmi jak z filmu sci-fi klasy B.
Fred Lambert z serwisu Electrek, który od lat śledzi każdy ruch firmy, nazywa to wprost: „dopełnieniem przemiany Muska w czarny charakter”. O co chodzi? Elon Musk ogłosił na platformie X, że zmienia misję firmy z „Sustainable Abundance” (Zrównoważona Obfitość) na „Amazing Abundance” (Niesamowita Obfitość). Powód? Według miliardera, ta druga wersja jest „bardziej radosna”.
Ewolucja czy degradacja?
Zmiana misji Tesli to historia zmieniających się priorytetów Muska:
Usunięcie słowa „zrównoważony” to jasny sygnał. Ekologia, klimat, zielona energia – to wszystko zeszło na drugi plan. Teraz celem jest AI i robotyka (Optimus). Samochody elektryczne stały się tylko narzędziem (i dojną krową) do sfinansowania wizji świata, w którym roboty wykonują każdą pracę, a my żyjemy w rzekomej „obfitości”.
Pusta obietnica „radości”
Krytycy, w tym Lambert, punktują hipokryzję tej zmiany. Musk mówi o „radości” i „obfitości”, jednocześnie na swojej platformie społecznościowej promując teorie spiskowe, ksenofobię i zniechęcając miliarderów do działalności charytatywnej (twierdząc, że wkrótce AI zapewni wszystkim „wysoki dochód uniwersalny”, więc po co pomagać teraz?).
Dla wielu fanów marki, którzy kupili Teslę, by przyczynić się do ochrony środowiska, to gorzka pigułka. Ich ulubiona firma właśnie oficjalnie przyznała: nie chodzi już o klimat. Chodzi o „niesamowitą” wizję jednego człowieka.

Rolls Royce were to make a minivan it would not be as big a stretch as the SUV, at least in China. According to an #Electrek article (I think) a few weeks ago, Western auto pundits at a show were surprised at the sumptuous appointments in one of their upcoming EV minivans.
Apparently minivans are supposed to be luxury vehicles there - used to chauffeur executives around. A Rolls implementation would at least make some sense.
