Just finished throwing together a quick python3 script that takes a city name as input and checks the current weather in that location -- then prompts the gpt-image-1.5 model to dream up an image of the location with those weather conditions. Resize and rotate, then push it to the picture frame. Synthetic memories captured on e-paper.

(BTW, anyone know how to wake the frame without using the mobile app?)

Finally got around to watching Blade Runner (1982) after reading Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep. I definitely expected them to cut the whole Mercerism stuff out, and move away from the absurdist attitude of the book. Pretty good movie all around. I found the "father" edit appropriate, though I do see the point in preserving the original line.

I think I need a scythe but I don't want to sharpen it. Titanium? Really what I want is a mini harvester or something, cut the grass at any number of height between 3 and 12in... I don't care if it's manual or electric as long as the battery is lithium. Folds for storage would be good. The electric motor I have has expired lead battery, dull blade, weighs too much even without the battery, gets used maybe 4x/year my other mower is a reel push mower or a hedge clipper, trimmer… #electricSheep

It's been years since I used #apophysis , but well, I just reinstalled it and started opening and torquing old .flame files. Let's just see where this all goes. Maybe I'll go check to see if my xenodream license is still valid too...and yes, I mix these kinds of digital elements with analog. It's kind of my thing (my goal is to be the Keith LeBlanc of 2d art)

There is some kind of bug in macOS for multi-monitor users in Sonoma. When you've got more than one monitor the new lock screen wallpaper / screensaver creates an issue. The system appears to forget to shut down the process, it will show up as:

`legacyScreenSaver (Wallpaper)`

The process will not only continue until force-quit but it also respawns itself. I was using Electric Sheep when I noticed and to solve the problem, I had to turn screen savers entirely off and delete all traces of Electric Sheep off the system. I think the bug is worse for older screen savers like Electric Sheep but it also impacts some of the Apple screen savers.

Hey, so I wrote a server that can serve #ElectricSheep as a "video stream" (no actual video pipeline involved), which I think is pretty cool. (I've also tested it with VLC.)

The real question is, do I want to host it? The flock I have on hand is 15GB and 740KB/s (Electric Sheep 247, free size), so I don't want to just throw it up anywhere without any kind of consideration.
