Yeah, I decided to watch the latest episode of LegalEagle. It is about Project 2025.
The policy changes proposed in this project as so cartoonishly evil that there is only one entity that came to my mind: the Enclave from Fallout.
Don't get me wrong. The entire project is frightening. If someone were to put it into action, innumerable innocents would suffer.
I say it is cartoonishly evil because those policies are so stupid that it will inevitably backfire in their faces, as they actually did for the Enclave in Fallout.
Again, this is not to minimize the suffering of those who are directly targeted by this project.
The Enclave in Fallout was cartoonishly evil, but since this was a game, it was an entertaining thought exercise. It was fun, as long as nobody wanted to implement anything resembling the Enclave.
Now people want to implement, in real life, something akin to the Enclave: Project 2025. It is cartoonishly evil, but it is also scary, because if ever implemented, multitudes will suffer.
(If you wonder why not the Nazis. That's because I see the Nazis as ruthlessly evil, not cartoonishly evil. I also have more lived experience with the Enclave. I did not live during WWII, but I've played the Fallout games.)

I fixed some bugs in page tables of RISC-V Keystone enclaves (bootstrapping code of page tables) last Fall to get them working with CVA6 RISC-V CPU, and now I get steadily emails from people who are trying to use Keystone but cannot get it working for various reasons.
Not blaming those people but clearly the project is not too community oriented 🤷 I try respond politely that I don’t have the bandwidth.
Does not come as surprise tho because I wrote a trivial in-kernel driver PoC to which project showed no interest, still continuing with their OOT-drver:

Однажды вдоволь наигравшись в данную серию игр и первую " Diablo " (1996) в отдельности, я стал интересоваться на предмет, а на что ещё можно обратить внимание со схожими параметрами? Поиск был ограничен следующими критериями: RPG / ARPG. Либо другой жанр, например Action / Shooter, или rogue-like, но с явно выраженными схожими элементами. Год выпуска не имеет значения. 1. Нет респавна. Во многом по этой причине, а также ввиду ниже обозначенных третьего и четвёртого пунктов, мне некогда больше приглянулась именно первая часть серии. 2. Умеренная продолжительность, без жёсткого, затяжного захода на 100+ часов. 3. Низкий порог вхождения, отсутствие сложных механик. 4. Атмосфера.
