Faire appel à l'humanité de son propriétaire, c'est quand même une drôle d'idée de la part de Jean-Cro…

I’ve been tracking some of my reading using the #Fable app. I’ve not really tracked reading in an app since leaving #Goodreads a few years ago.

But giving it a go. Joined some of the #bookclub groups in Fable. First up, #NowReading “A Mannequin for Christmas” by Timothy Janovsky using the #Libby app.

Got this done on my livestream yesterday. It’s based on Aesop’s fable, “The Fox and the Woodcutter”.

Essentially, the fox is hding from a hunter and asks a woodcutter permission to hide in his house.

The woodcutter says yes, but when the pursuing hunter asks him if he’s see the fox, he says no while pointing toward the fox’s hiding place.

The hunter doesn’t get it, and moves on. The fox pops out and starts to run away and escape. The woodcutter says, “Hey, I saved your life and I get no thanks?!?”

And the fox says, “Your actions didn’t match your words. I will not thank someone who tried to kill me with their fingers while their mouth speaks lies.”

I think that’s very appropriate to today’s world.

This is #HumanMade in Procreate. It took me 7431 strokes and 10h31m to make.

Heavily textured illustration featuring the shadow of a man in a doorway looking at a fox who is looking back at him. Also has two portraits of a man and a fox staring at the viewer. A symbolic “trail” with a primitive sihouette of a hunter wielding a bow skirts Art Nouveau-styled three-dimensional filigree framing the entire image. A silhouette forest is at the top, backed by a sunset casting light on a snowy foreground. Heavily textuerd canvas in colors of browns, greys, tans, periwinkle blues, and flame oranges.

Doing my live #artstream today (11/24/25), 1-4:00pm PST (GMT-8), to continue working on an illustration in Procreate based on Aesop’s The Fox and the Woodcutter, a fable about hypocrisy and lying.

And I think that’s appropriate for things lately, you know? Hm.

Tea, soft music, chill vibe. I try to explain what I’m doing and keep things light and joyful—because we clearly have enough to be depressed about already! Lurkers are very welcome—no pressure to interact or even let me know you’re watching. I’m good with that.

Donkey said: "It is saturday?"
"Neigh" replied the horse.
Donkey said: "what day is then?"
The horse looked at him and walked away...
A murder of crows attacked the donkey and picked at his eyes till there were no more.
"What have I done to deserve this?!" screamed the donkey.
And the wise owl, that was watching from the nearby tree replied: "you know that horses don't talk. but it is saturday."
And the horse and the wise owl lived happily ever after. 2/2

Because there are not enough fables in this world I made one:
A donkey saw a horse eating fresh grass near a tree where a wise owl was resting.
Donkey said: "it is sunday!"
"Neigh" replied the horse.
Donkey said: "It is monday?"
"Neigh" replied the horse.
Donkey said: "It is tueday?"
"Neigh" replied the horse.
Donkey said: "It is wednesday?"
"Neigh" replied the horse.
Donkey said: "It is thursday?"
"Neigh" replied the horse.
Donkey said: "It is Friday?"
"Neigh" replied the horse.
