Today I share a Dandelion greeting card.

These little blooms are considered weeds most of the time. They grow where we don’t want them, usually.

But they’re also entirely edible, persistent, beautiful, and can be found almost all over the world. They have deep roots. And they rarely give up.

I’ve started using my style to make locally-inspired pieces that I’m going to try to sell here in my new home region. Today, I’m sharing some grape tomato greeting cards I made for all the veggie-lovers out there! I’ve come to really love these little pops of perk, even though as a youngster I made sure to ignore them: “Not in my salad, Mom!!”

But nowadays, they’re a yummy indulgence. And their reflections are amazing to capture!! The skin has a quality of translucence that is an amazing art challenge to enjoy!

I’m leaning into making “bad art,” rather than not making art at all. So I present to you a watercolor sketch of Bangkok, Thailand. The day I began this was in the middle of burn season, the air was thick with smoke and the sky was shining a hot pink through the sunshine and pollution.
