Hat jemand Erfahrung mit #Hugo und CI/CD? WIe einige wissen, bin ich mit meinem Blog von WordPress auf Hugo umgestiegen, alldings noch ganz ohne Repository oder CI/CD. Das möchte ich nun ändern, da auch ein paar weitere Websiten umgestellt werden müssen.

Mich allerdings nun wieder in die Abhängigkeit von Github, und damit Microsoft, zu begeben, bereitet Schmerzen.

Ist ein lokales #Gitlab für diesen Zweck mit Kanonen auf Spatzen geschossen? Gibt es was geeigneteres?

@acallegaro I've developed a (rather complex) #hugo theme https://github.com/lokal-ninja/ln-base for https://shoogle.net/ several years ago. Maybe this is a starting point.

For specific questions, you can ask me or others from the hugo #IRC channel on libera.chat.

@acallegaro #hugo shines primarily for it's build performance. I would recommend it only for websites with ALOT of pages.

For projects with few pages, #jekyll templating is way easier, if you start developing on a new theme.

Looking for a #tutor or #coach to help me learn how to build websites with Hugo.

I mainly need to create sites for digital humanities projects.

@underwood I was looking a looking #hugo. When I was looking for a similar thing.

After switching from #Jekyll to #Hugo I *really* like Hugo.

I could still use some help getting things tuned the way that I think i want them but there's oodles of documentation, and *actually* walking through the tutorial helped get me started.

Static Site Generator (SSG) - Recommendations?

Every winter, I seem to make time for myself to do a personal project. This time around I want to make a personal blog, and I figured an SSG would be the route. What is cool/hip these days? Hugo? Jekyll?

I'd like to know your suggestions/feedback/advice!

Annoying #hugo tip.
Make sure your external links (such as to example.com) always include the http/https portion, otherwise the links will be to yoursite/example.com which is likely not what you want.

seems way simpler than #hugo.

Really starting to get sick of Hugo. I rebuild my photography website pretty rarely these days (as I've been busy not doing photography, sadly).

I even update the theme and it is still broken, refuses to build. Site has not changed; I am simply wanting to build and upload to another server. So annoying.

I mean yes, I still have the "public" export directory that I have now rsync up manually, but the script I have builds then uploads - and it refuses to build. Like, Hugo is a solved system; why would it ever need to update other than to create work.

STOP BREAKING SHIT WHEN UPDATING IT YOU CUNTS.
