Learning French. What French-language TV/movies should we watch?
Last night was the absolute silliness of Asterix and Oblelix: The Middle Kingdom.
I started to watch Family Pack and will finish later.
Also later, Lupin.

What else is out there? Must have English subtitles, as my French is atrocious, but I'm trying to get used to hearing the language in context. I know there's a deep history of French cinema but I have little familiarity.

Truly wonderful story telling, with hope, villainy, sadness, and rabbits. Don't watch if a bit squeamish! Very strong characters, well acted.

I had recorded them from SBS some time ago, just checked and they are not on SBS On Demand any more. But if they return, watch them both, in the order listed above!
