I also like #Feeder, but it doesn't connect to syncing platforms...

For podcasts, I use Gpodder.net (to sync) and #AntennaPod (app).

I always wondered if google killing the greader service was due to ad revenue of websites. Bit confused why the article doesnt mention #capyreader and #freshrss as far as im concerned thats how you want to manage your rss feeds in 2026.

Self-hosted RSS reader up and running! #FreshRSS

I played around some, and I think what could work for me for working with #RSS is saved searches.
- #NewsBlur does that pretty well, but it's a huge beast, and LLM-flavoured
- #miniflux doesn't do them at all (you can add external things that will do that for you, I guess)
- #FreshRSS does that pretty well, but is annoying to get it to download full articles, PHP leaves me with a bit of distaste, and authentication is weird/meh (apparently they mostly use Apache for it).

@Tom23 @zaclys utilise aussi @freshrss en plus de @nextcloud . Perso j'ai longtemps utilisé #FreshRSS installé sur mon hébergement mutualisé et je suis passé sur #zaclys pour ne plus oublier de faire les mises à jour 😁 Les plus de la gestion par soi-même : on peut installer ce qu'on veut comme extensions comme #shaarli ou les posts sur Mastodon...

Côté client j'utilise #fedishare https://addons.mozilla.org/fr/firefox/addon/fedishare-addon/ pour partager rapidement des contenus. Et mieux dans #freshrss il y a une fonctionnalité de partage direct sur #mastodon en configurant son instance au préalable

Wondering if anyone can recommend a (free) way to follow Instagram feeds in an RSS reader? I searched online for a way to convert an Instagram user's feed to an RSS feed but it appears it's “complicated”…

I self-host #FreshRSS and would like to be able to follow some music-related Instagram feeds which post about local gigs etc. I ditched my Instagram account a few years ago and won't ever go back, but it would be great to be able to see announcements of gigs and that sort of thing, from people who don't use anything to get the word out apart from the dreaded Instagram…
