I try not to wear clothing that advertises my hobbies when I shop at #fleamarkets and #garagesales, because I don't want sellers to see me coming, so to speak. One problem with this plan is that 90% of the t-shirts in my closet are #gameconvention souvenir shirts.

Today's $5 bargain, Shop vac hose and a sewing stool from an estate sale. I have a shop vac with no hose. And the stool should work for the sewing machine table. #garagesales

Garage sale via bicycle today, testing the tour bike for cargo. Works, but a bit top heavy when loaded with the pannier full of 30 lbs of garage sale tools. Kickstand would be helpful in this situation. #BikeTooter #garagesales

LOL, garage sale bargain of the day. I had been thinking about finding a new Ikea desk lamp for a bedside table (very low priority), but hadn't figured anything out and Ikea is 50 miles away. Ran across someone at a garage sale and they had this Ikea lamp... which they sold to me for 25 cents. Even better than Ikea (secondhand, nearby Ikea stuff for basically nothing)! #garagesales

Went to 4 #GarageSales today. Burned $10 in gas. One sale was not there. One had only useless shite. At another I got $20 worth of window winterizing supplies for a buck.

The last sale was quite useless, w/everything priced at least 3x too high. But I have a trick: look for the one item sellers think is garbage.

Scored a small #trunk with rat-proof #brass exterior for $2. Perfect for #apocalypse #prepper food storage. The "garbage" flaw: 3 trickling corrosion marks where a dog peed on it.
