New quick poem:

Garden Warfare

My neighbour gardens
like they are at war.
The power tools their artillery
the weedkiller their chemical agent.
Nature must be subdued
all wildness controlled.
I want the Earth to shout
what I can't
to fight back.
But it keeps the peace
like I.
It can only quietly
resist
by killing their brambles.
I can only hope
my organic words
take root
instead.

Reflections on the meaning of reciprocity and relationship with nature. My garden still only tolerates me I think, but I most definitely love it.

Reciprocity I tend my garden it grows. Like my appreciation cultivates it along with the rain, soil and sun. It knows what it needs but can’t tell except in signs I must learn to read. I can’t. It shows. Somehow it forgives as I forget untimely deaths and celebrate what still lives. So it goes… our dance of reciprocation of failing and learning of knowing of growing dedication. © Saraphir Camille Legind

🌾 Gut zu erkennen sind die feinen Staubfäden - zarte Details der Wald-Trespe. Die Gräserblüte ist ein stilles Schauspiel, das leicht übersehen wird.

🌾 Delicate details of the Wood Brome – the long, fine stamens are clearly visible. Grass in bloom is a quiet spectacle, easily missed.

Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest #Hue to hold.

Her early #Leaf's a #flower;
But only so an hour.

Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So #Eden sank to #Grief,

So #Dawn goes down to day.
Nothing #Gold can #Stay.

The Little Purple #Aster waits till very late,
Till the #Flowers all have faded from the #Garden gate.
Then when the #World is dreary, her #Buds have all unfurled,
They seek to #Cheer the everchanging, somber #Autumn world.

The #Autumn has tinged the #Trees with #Gold,
And crimsoned the #Shrubs of the #Hills;
And the full #Seed #Sleeps in the earth's #Bosom so cold;
And #Hope all the #Universe fills.

Though summers change and pass away -
Though dies the #Beauty of the hill and plain -
Though warmth and color fade each #Autumn day -
#Hope passes not, and abides to say
That our brightest #Joys shall all come again.

As we prepare for the coming week, remember to give #thanks for the #Garden and all that it adds to #Life on this #Earth.

May we be blessed with:

A little #Sun,
A little #Shower,
A tiny #Seed
A garden #Flower.

Alone on the slope of the #Mountain, it grew,
& bathed its light tresses in #Glittering #Dew
The #Bird on its boughs lingered loving & long,
And the #Stream at its feet ever murmured in #Song
It toyed with the #Winds, it was #Happy & #Free;
Oh! the #Silvery #Birch was a flourishing #Tree.

#Tigger and #Roo pushed each other about in a friendly way,
and #Kanga said,

"Now then, run along.
You can go and collect fir-cones."

So they went to the Six #Pine #Trees, and threw #Fir-#Cones at each other until they had #Forgotten what they came for.

#November is a #Spinner
Spinning in the #Mist,
Weaving such a lovely #Web
Of gold and #Amethyst.
In among the #Shadows
She spins till close of day,
Then quietly she folds her #Hands
And puts her #Work away.

Green beads and red beads

The #Morns are meeker than they were,
The #Nuts are getting brown;
The #Berry's cheek is plumper,
The #Rose is out of town.
